Nintedo Switch Leaks, Twitch Gets Bleak & Star Wars Gives Us A Sneak Peek... š
This week, we've got a bunch of rumours about the Nintendo Switch 2, Star Wars's Mandalorian & Grogu movie & Twitch's latest round of lay offs...
š Letās Catch Up!
Does anyone have any idea how they made the movie Wish? Seriously, the art style is unlike anything Iāve watched in recent years. It has so many elements of traditional Disney movies, but then added a bunch of modern 3D animation for the characters. Super cool, and super weird. Decent movie though - the goat, Valentino, gave me a few good chuckles.
Anyway - good afternoon, Heroes! ā I hope you all had a great weekend. Apologies for the newsletter going out a little later than usual today - I had a stream scheduled over on my YouTube channel and hadnāt finished writing - weāre currently playing through Cyberpunk 2077 (every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 10-12pm GMT, incase you want to jump in).
I started writing this last night and actually fell asleep in my chair from midnight-2am. God, Iām still feeling the stiff neck from that one today. It was my daughterās birthday and we went swimming, cinema, and shopping - an awesome day, but incredibly exhausting. š
This week has been a bit of a mad rush while preparing for the new channel launches (coming this weekend). In total Iāve recorded 15-ish videos, editing nearly half. My task for this week is to get as many edited as humanly possible, while also maintaining the livestreams, main channel content and newsletter.
In other news, I spent an ungodly amount of time watching Max Fosh this week. He has quickly become one of my favourite creators, and his storytelling ability is some of the best Iāve ever seen on YouTube. This video, in particular, is quite wonderful - he steals a bunch of food from a grandma, and then makes her eat it. I promise itās far more wholesome than Iām making it out to be.
Anyway, Iām gonna wrap up this personal segment so that I can speedrun the remaining pieces of the newsletter and try to get a nap before the school runs - have a great week; keep up the great work!

š Upcoming Changes & Announcements
New Channels launching this Saturday - check out some of the previous newsletters if you want a bit more of a breakdown for those (spoiler, you can already see a few changes happening to my āsecondā channel if you can find the new usernameā¦).
Newsletter changes & Website/Store Updates will start happening the week after. Nothing major, just some formatting and making things a little more readable and concise. (Yes, I forgot to send out the bonus newsletter with a questionnaire - I promise, Iāll do it. Soon. Probably).
Iām testing out a slightly New Editing Style on my channel, in this video. Even if you arenāt keen on Cyberpunk 2077, Iād love some feedback. It takes a step away from the traditional super-edited videos and goes for a more chilled, straight-to-the-point vibe. Also, using a bunch of the new resources and packs I spoke about in last weekās episode - Finzarās Ultimate Bundle is particularly awesome. šØ People seem to be responding to it well so far with nearly 1,000 views in two days; cheers folks!
š„ Hot Topics of The Week
#1 - Nintendo Switch 2 Rumour Roundup š„š¦
āā¦it is mentioned that the hardware will be equipped with the NVIDIA T239 chip, 8GB RAM, 64GB storage space, and a battery with greatly improved life. Additionally, the handheldās display will have a refresh rate of 120Hzā¦ā
[Rumour/Leak] As much as Iād love for this to be true, I just canāt see it happening. Nintendo has always chosen cheaper hardware in every single console theyāve made, focusing more on family entertainment than cutting-edge tech.
Honestly, give me smooth frames - even at 60fps - and some more fidelity, and Iāll be happy. The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom would look so much prettier if the hardware was just a little bit more capable.
#2 - Twitch Lays Off Staff. Againā¦. š£
āThis is the third round of redundancies at the company, bringing the total number of Twitch employees hit by these layoffs to almost 1,000 in the space of just twelve months...ā
Jeeze, Twitch really canāt catch a break, can they? š I feel bad for all of the employees affected by the lay-offs, but honestly, Twitch has been in a rough state for a long time. It sucks to see things getting worse for the streamers and the employees at the same time...
The report goes on to state that Twitch is unprofitable, and has been for nearly a decade. Honestly, itās a miracle that the company still has a pulse at this rateā¦
#3 - Star Wars Greenlights āThe Mandalorian & Groguā Movie š
āThe Mandalorian & Grogu will lead Lucasfilm's ongoing feature-development slate, including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing Ahsoka Season 2, among those in the works.ā
FINALLY! š„ Weāre moving away from the TV shows with pointless filler. Seasons 1 & 2 of The Mandalorian were great (for the most part), as was Ahsoka. But, in pretty much every series produced since Disney took over the franchise, there have been countless episodes with mind-numbing plots.
Great to see that theyāre turning their attention back to traditional movies. Letās keep our fingers crossed that Kathleen Kennedy stays as far away from these projects as possible, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy gets swapped out for another director. Is it weird that Iām excited to see Rey after the events of episode nine though? š¤
